Nobody wants to hear “it depends” — but a kitchen remodel in Boca Raton can run anywhere from the mid five figures to well past six, and the difference is rarely about luxury. It is about how much of the room moves.

What drives the number

Four things decide most of your budget, in roughly this order:

  • Cabinetry. Almost always the single largest line. Stock, semi-custom and fully custom cabinetry can differ by a factor of three for the same footprint.
  • Appliances. A professional range, integrated refrigeration and a wine column can equal the cabinetry budget on their own.
  • Stone. Quartz, quartzite and marble vary widely, and a book-matched waterfall island uses far more material than a simple square top.
  • Whether plumbing, gas or walls move. Relocating a sink or range means new supply, waste and venting, plus permitting and inspection time.

Where budgets actually go wrong

In our experience the overruns almost never come from the original scope. They come from late changes: a cabinet run altered after fabrication has started, a stone selection swapped after templating, an appliance changed after the cabinetry was built to the old specification. Each of those is expensive because the work has already been done once.

This is why we insist on an approved drawing set and final material selections before anything is ordered. Decisions are free on paper and costly in the shop.

Cabinetry: where the real difference shows

Two kitchens can use the same door style and look completely different in five years. What separates them is construction: drawer box material, soft-close hardware quality, how the boxes are joined, and whether the interior is finished or raw. In a humid climate, that construction quality is what decides whether doors still line up after a few summers.

The other place money shows is the interior fit-out — bespoke drawer organizers, cutlery and spice inserts, integrated waste systems, appliance garages. These cost comparatively little and are what people actually notice every day.

Condo kitchens in Boca Raton

Condo work carries its own cost layer: association approvals, restricted work hours, elevator protection, sound-attenuation requirements and limits on moving plumbing. None of these are insurmountable, but they extend the schedule and should be priced honestly at the start rather than discovered in week three.

How to compare quotes properly

A meaningfully cheaper bid is usually cheaper for a reason. When comparing, check that each quote specifies the same cabinet construction, the same stone thickness and edge detail, who is pulling the permit, whether appliance installation is included, and what the allowance figures actually cover. Two quotes with the same bottom line can describe very different kitchens.

We give fixed, itemized proposals — line by line, with material selections attached — so the price you approve is the price you pay.

Timeline

Custom cabinetry carries a lead time before anything happens on site. Once work starts, a full kitchen typically runs several weeks, longer where structural or plumbing changes are involved. Inspection scheduling is set by the municipality, not by us, which is why we book those ahead.

Getting a real number for your kitchen

The only way to a reliable figure is a site visit. We measure, talk through what is structurally possible, and come back with an itemized proposal. It is free and carries no obligation.
